And so begins another year of SXSW.
GSD&M is lucky to have been born and raised in Austin and we make the most of every March when the world comes to town. We love learning about up-and-coming technology, networking with smart and creative people and maybe crossing paths with a rock star or two.
But we also consider it our responsibility to help take care of the many out-of-towners who come to Austin for SXSW. After all, you can plan ahead, set calendar alerts and pack extra batteries, but how do you prepare for the unexpected? And how do you ensure you take advantage of all the good stuff our city has to offer?
Last year, we created SXSurvival to help the many out-of-towners navigate Austin. People seemed to appreciate the local advice on the best places to eat, drink and hang out.
This year, we’re expanding what we share, taking a deeper dive and bringing you with us.
GSDMPresents.com was created to share things we love with our friends. Stuff we find and stuff we make. From artist interviews and taco reviews to live music and more, this is the very best of who we are and where we live.
Our team of content ninjas is out capturing the latest and greatest Austin has to offer. From Vine interviews at a craft brewery to a special acoustic performance from Sinead O’Connor & Taylor Swift in the alley on 6th Street, we are bringing it to you.
But this isn’t about being a passive viewer. We want you to engage with us too. Using Branch, join our conversation about topics like where you’d have your last meal in Austin, the most hyped bands of SXSW 2013 and what it will take to get a GSD&Mer to chug a quart of queso.
So off you go. Explore. Enjoy. And let us know what you think!
