OK. That wasn’t really what I learned. And if it was, I wouldn’t tell you before I used them on you.

But I did learn that asking questions can help guide creative teams and lead them to the right answers. But ultimately, the creative has to feel like they reach the solution themselves and they own the idea. Instead of making a statement, try asking:
– Why?
– Can you say it again with different words?
– What were you thinking here?
– How can I help you?
– What do you need from me?
And sometimes you have to realize that when people come to you, the problem isn’t yours – it’s theirs.
