Harvey can’t mess with Texas

To support relief efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey, GSD&M, in partnership with the Ad Council and Charlie Uniform Tango, launched new TV and digital PSAs across Texas.

The recent catastrophe that’s affected communities along the Gulf Coast and beyond have displaced thousands, leaving them desperate for food, shelter and safety. Texas and the nation has banned together to support disaster relief.

GSD&M has remained a longtime partner of the Ad Council, teaming up to create and launch PSAs to encourage recovery in times of nationwide tragedy such as “I Am An American” after 9/11, and again for the Haiti Earthquake, Hurricane Katrina, and most recently, the Louisiana Flood.

“GSD&M is proud to support disaster relief efforts and help however we can in times of national emergencies. Hurricane Harvey has caused massive devastation along the Gulf Coast and in times like these community means more than ever. We stand with all of the victims impacted by the catastrophe and will do whatever we can to help.” – Duff Stewart, CEO, GSD&M

The PSA, “Texas Strong,” unites the people of Texas with a long-established rally cry, “Don’t Mess With Texas.” The tagline, first established by GSD&M for the Texas Department of Transportation in 1985, has remained a statement of pride for the Lone Star State, and is especially relevant in times of crisis and despair when only community will help the state prevail.
