~ Interactive ad to feature accelerometer technology ~
AUSTIN, TX – Lennox Industries, a leading provider of customized home heating, cooling and indoor air quality products, recently launched its first iPad interactive ad which allows users to experience the technology and benefits of the solar-powered SunSource™ Home Energy System product. The main attraction of the ad is the ability for users to raise their iPad to the sky to activate Popular Mechanics magazine’s first use of the accelerometer technology. Once the accelerometer technology senses movement, it triggers the ad’s video content. As an additional feature, users can identify and tap on “hot spots” for a variety of Lennox product information and visuals.
With creative development from GSD&M, the interactive ad is included in the May and July issues of Popular Mechanics’ tablet edition or downloadable for a small fee. It is also part of Lennox’s “Innovation” campaign which puts a luxury spin on the manufacturer’s 115 years of advancement in heating and air conditioning products.
In addition to the interactive ad, Lennox will continue to run other elements of the Innovation campaign throughout the year to include TV and print. In the TV spots, computer generated imagery was used to capture the sophisticated technology of a Lennox heating and air conditioner system. The print pieces have a luxury look and feel and showcase Lennox systems in the formation of a satellite, watch and automobile. Each piece touches on the innovation and unmatched engineering that goes into each Lennox heating and air conditioning system.
