When SXSW releases their list of bands coming to play the festival each year, it’s overwhelming — hundreds and hundreds of bands you’ve probably never heard of, hoping to leave an impression. But it’s not just about the new guys anymore, many well-established bands use SXSW as a way to launch a new album or reengage with their fans.
